Adelaide Anaesthetic Services was established in 1973, and has grown to be Australia’s second largest anaesthetic practice with over 40 specialist anaesthetists. Our expert team provide services to around 60,000 people in South Australia’s private and day surgeries every year.
We are proud to be South Australia’s major providers of obstetric anaesthesia and analgesia (epidural) services. We are committed to ensuring expert care is readily available. AAS provides comprehensive 24/7 emergency service with at least two specialist anaesthetists on call 365 days of the year.
Our highly experienced specialist anaesthetists provide anaesthesia for all surgical specialities and procedures.
Epidural Pain Control
Adelaide Anaesthetic Services are SA’s major providers of epidural pain relief, with emergency specialists on call at all hours of the day and night.
Eye Surgery
Our expert anaesthetists provide local anaesthesia for eye and facial surgery, reducing recovery time and decreasing the risk of side effects.
Major Surgery
Our anaesthetists provide services for all major surgery including general, colorectal and orthopaedic surgery.
Anaesthesia for Children
Your anaesthetist is expertly trained to make sure your child’s surgery is as safe and stress-free as possible, for both you and your child.
Sedation
We use sedative techniques to induce a state of relaxation and drowsiness for endoscopy, colonoscopy and other anxiety-causing procedures.
Regional Anaesthesia
Many of our highly trained anaesthetists provide regional anaesthesia and nerve block with ultrasound guidance. This may be combined with sedation for your procedure.
